Fitbit Charge 5 died after swimming

I swam yesterday with no issues and my fitbit successfully tracked my swim and was fine. Today it won't turn back on after my swim. No change from what I did yesterday. It just seems to have died. What can I do? I've plugged it into the charger but it's still unresponsive.

I went for a swim and now the battery drains in a few hours.  I tried restarting and a factory reset.  Neither worked,  I would like to find an answer too.
