Since the last update (I have only had 2 updates since I purchased it, which is very poor considering the amount of bugs this device has), my Fitbit Charge 5 freezes almost everytime during a gps tracked workout. It seems to happen especially often when, during the run, I reach my daily stepcount. This is massively frustrating because it also just spontaneously stops recording the run. Very discouraging and very poor for a watch who's key feature is GPS for exercises. Also very dissapointed in my first, and quite expensive, Fitbit watch. I'd rather use my old cheapass samsung galaxy fit 2 right now considering the massive amount of bugs in the charge 5...
Hope Fitbit will come with a proper update for this very soon. This has also been my first and last Fitbit watch, will go with brands such as Garmin in the future. Does anyone encounters the same problem?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Lararozo.
Thank you for all the information provided about the problem you've been experiencing with the Charge 5.
Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article to improve accuracy of the GPS.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed here below to complete a restart:
Thank you for taking the time to share all your feedback about the product as well.
I'll be around.
