Fitbit Charge 5 is syncing but not updating (ex: sleep, resting heart rate, etc.) with phone.

I just purchased the Fitbit Charge 5 on August 4, 2022 and it seemed to work fine at first.  About 2 weeks after purchasing, it was not syncing or updating in phone.  The steps will still track but that's it.  I know this was posted back in mid-August and that post blew up to over 25 pages of comments with others having the same issue.  There was no response from a Fitbit rep but others posted the troubleshooting tips (Restarting Fitbit, disconnecting then reconnecting Blue Tooth connection, unpairing, etc) which I tried then.  No success.  I then went to live chat for help and nothing, wasn't available.  Late that night comments started coming in from others that their Fitbit Charge 5's were now syncing and around that time mine did too.  It seemed to be working fine until today.  It appears to sync but not with the phone.  I have again tried all of the troubleshooting tips with no luck.  I tried going to the live chat and nothing happens when I click on that.

My questions:
1.  Is anyone else currently having the issue with steps tracking with phone but nothing else is (sleep, resting heart rate, etc.)?

2.  Is there another glitch with Fitbit causing this to happen again?  My steps are syncing but sleep score, resting heart rate, etc. are not.  If there is a glitch, is there anything being done about it?

Just to follow up. I did have this issue, back when it was rampant. I found that none of the suggested troubleshooting steps helped (clearing app cache, re-installing app, forgetting and reconnecting to the tracker, restarting the tracker, etc.). In reality, time was the thing that worked. If I waited, it would usually connect at some point in the day, and update with the benefit that no data was lost (as when I deleted my tracked and re-connected from scratch). Initially, I had the problem a handful of times, but the rate of issues dropped way off, and I haven't had any problems syncing in some time.

Thank you again, really do appreciate your help.  The only troubleshooting step I'm not doing is deleting/reinstalling the app since I don't want to lose all my data.  I'll do as you've done and just give it time as it probably IS an issue on their (Fitibit's) end.  A little communication on Fitbit's part, even a notice on the main site, acknowledging an issue and they're working on resolving it would go a long way.

Just so that you know, deleting the Fitbit app from you mobile device will not delete your Fitbit data. Your data is in the Fitbit cloud.

Thank you for letting me know that I won't lose my Fitbit data.  Didn't see your response until just now but it seems to be syncing now, but if this happens again I now know I can go ahead and delete/reinstall the app w/out losing my date if this happens again in the future.
