Is it just me or is the Charge5 the worst Fitbit? After a month of having it and dealing with the battery dying in 2 day it has not stopped recording my sleep and workouts. Definitely going back to the Charge 4

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @Mia16.
I appreciate the feedback and you've shared and the details about the problems you're experiencing with the Charge 5.
Before considering other options, could you please provide more information about these problems you mentioned earlier? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?
Let me know if you're still experiencing the problem with the battery draining too fast, if your device is not recording activities automatically or if you mean GPS activities or activities tracked manually with the exercise app. Regarding the sleep information, let me know if you mean the regular sleep information or the sleep stages and how often you're experiencing these inconveniences.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback about the product. The team of developers continues to work to improve the quality of products and services.
I'll be around.

After the last update, my charge 5 only records 5 miles of my 18 mile mountain biking efforts that start tracking manually on my wrist. I find myself having to double track with Samsung health. Also the fitbit when it did record my whole ride was off about a quarter mile as compared to Samsung Health and Strava.
Please fix it or give me an option to trade in for a better model.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @JasonNipp.
Thank you for sharing this information about the trouble you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.
If the GPS is getting disconnected during your activity, the Charge 5 may track different information for the the distance. Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a three pulse restart using the charging cable, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.

This info doesn't help.
The Charge 5 was working great prior to a software update. Now it only tracks my full bike rides if I change the GPS setting to use phone. Both built in and dynamic only records about a mile of my bike rides.
I am double logging using Strava and Samsung Health and nether of those devices have an issue.
Your software update broke the functionality of the Charge 5 built-in GPS.

@JasonNipp Thank you for sharing this update.
Even though your device was working properly before the update, these steps have traditionally been helpful for any users experiencing problems with GPS. Let me know if you notice any difference after the steps suggested earlier, and particularly after the restart procedure using the charging cable.
