My Fitbit charge 5 is not syncing. It’s not new and be believe I have done all troubleshooting possible. Any tips?

I have tried everything, too. My Charge 5 hasn't synced since Tuesday, and none of the prescribed steps work. I keep getting a message about an update as well, but the link does nothing.

Sit and wait as much as it sucks to say. The rolling update they're doing through the play store is done on the developer's side using Google playstore's dev. tools. The Dev will select the percentage of users who get pushed the update (completely random). If they don't roll it out like this and give it to all users And there's a problem with what they rolled out it's harder to diagnose what happened, what they need to fix and could potentially ruin all devices affected by the issue (complete irreversible internal failure) so it's not what anyone wants to hear on a user side (including me) but programming (and more annoyingly debugging) is an investigation but when your code WAS working fine and then another company's (samsung in this case) hardware AND software causes it not to work it becomes a Nightmare to quickly try and understand what the other company had, what they changed, what you have and why they don't mesh.
So again, we all agree, this sucks but they are trying to follow "best practices" and not brick all their customers stuff without terrifying layman people and telling them the risks (which is a risk with any software/hardware combo). Doesn't fix the problem but maybe knowing the why at least allows it to make sense.
