My Fitbit Charge 5 stopped working after less than 1 year of use. I thought the battery was dead so I charged it for a few hours but it didn't turn on. I tried the method of pressing the button on the charging cable 3 times, but it didn't do anything. I also tried removing the device from my Fitbit app and pairing it again, but the app couldn't find the device.
So, I let the Fitbit just sit dead for a week hoping it will respond when I charge it again.
Today, when I charged it, it did kind of respond: the Fitbit logo came and the device vibrated continuously but didn't fully start. After a while, the device is dead again.
Is my Fitbit dead for good? Is there a way to salvage it?
Really disappointed that the device lasted less than a year 😞

Since you've tried the recommended troubleshooting steps without success & your device is less than a year old, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to find out what are your options under warranty.

Okay, so I tried 'pressing the button on the charging cable 3 times' but with the charger connected to the power. Now, the watch is blinking with the Fitbit logo. Nothing else happens. It keeps blinking the Fitbit logo until it runs out of power.
