Fitbit and MyFitnessPal

Up until yesterday Fitbit and MyFitnessPal worked great together. Fitbit uploaded my steps and a reasonable number of calories (I set my activity at none on MyFitnessPal). Yesterday and today it has gone crazy. Today it reports 1084 calories burned with 1998 steps. This is nonsense. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, how do I fix it?

Yes, I have encountered the same problem the last couple of days. Not certain what the problem is.  I updated both apps (myFitnessPal & Fitbit) and numbers are still too high. Today I have a Fitbit calorie adjustment of 713 for only 3,365 steps.

I don't know which brand you have but Samsung just pushed and update. I am going to try that and see if it makes a difference.

I have a Google Pixel 6 phone.

I think I'm going to try a hard reset of my Fitbit as well. Did you try
this?

Hello @BrettStiefel @KBode8529

There is currently a bug affecting calorie tracking. The issue has been escalated and the team is working on a fix. Hopefully, it won't be too long before a fix is rolled out.

Hello!

Has the hiccup been remedied yet?

My calorie adjustment is still running way too high.

Let me know. Thanks

Hello @KBode8529

I haven't seen any updates yet. I know a new version of the Fitbit app is rolling out to include the new Pixel Watch 3, which is on shelves now. I don't know if there are any fixes included in the app update.

Hello Reiko,

I understand your role is to trouble shoot problems encountered by Fitbit customers, however this is an important feature that I and many others rely upon heavily.  The lack of some type of timeline in which the inflated calorie adjustment will be resolved is critical.

Without software "patch" to fix problem your customers will source other fitness tracking products that are reliable and where the manufacture will not leave their customers in limbo like what Fitbit is doing right now.

Please advise.....

Hello @KBode8529

Just to let you know, I'm not a Google employee. I'm a Fitbit user, like yourself, who volunteers to help other users on these forums.

If/when we get information about the timing for a fix, you can be sure that I and the other Fitbit PE will happily share it. We are also impacted by the same issues that you and the other users are experiencing, so we know how frustrating this all is.
