Fitbit app won't allow me to add exercises

I just bought a brand new Charge 5 to replace old one whose battery died. The updated Fitbit app does not allow me to edit the default list of exercises. Previously I could delete one and add Spinning. How do I do this with the new app?

Please, make sure you are using the latest version of the Fitbit app: How do I use the Fitbit app?

In addition:

• Open the Fitbit app on your smartphone.
• Tap the devices icon on the top-left corner.
• Select your Charge 5 from the list.
• Scroll down the Device preferences and tap Exercise Shortcuts. 

You will see a pencil icon in the upper right corner that will allow you to edit the exercises.
