Fitbit charge 5 is stuck at 100% battery

Basically the fitbit charge 5 is stuck at 100% battery! If I unplug it from charging cable it simply shuts down.

I already tried to charge it and then press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears, but with no modification of the 100% charging status.

I also tried to charge it and then press the button located on the flat end of the charger for 15 seconds. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears, but with no modification of the 100% charging status.

Can anyone help?

Hi, @ibanezleader welcome to the community, is your Charge 5 still paired with the Fitbit app on your mobile phone? If so what is the state of charge reported in the icon in the top left corner of the "Today" screen? If the screen is active on the charging cable, you may try a "Factory reset" as demonstrated in this video. bear in mind the warning and, if you can, sync your Fitbit app before resetting. You do not mention how long you've had your Charge 5, sadly small wearable devices do have a limited lifespan dictated by the number of charge/discharge cycles they've had. Depending on where you are, when you bought your Charge 5 and who you bought it from you may have the benefit of Fitbit's return and warranty policy

Let us know how you get on by posting here again.

Cheers

I have done the factory reset, and the result is the same, it stays the same with no modification of the 100% charging status. For what I see this device is really bad, I have bought the device back in 24/11/2023 in an online company called Powerplanetonline.

Hi, @ibanezleader, While I do not know if Powerplanetonline is an approved seller (it needs to be if you are using Fitbit's warranty) I recommend talking to "Customer Support"

Go through steps 1 & 2 then the contact us link to use the chat facility or phone for prompt advice.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
