Fitbit charge 5 screen blackout

Hi Experts,

My fitbit charge 5 screen suddenly went blank and it's not showing anything. Tried reaching out to support team and followed the troubleshooting steps of connecting device to USB charger and clicking the button but no luck.

And after the call they sent me a discount code 10% off for next purchase,  this is so bad , is there any way to fix ir or get it replaced.

The device is less than 2 years old.

Have been a fitbit user since 2018 disappointing to know that there is not much help from customer support team

I'm having the same exact problem. It last synced around 11 am with an almost full battery. At noon, I have black screen, no green light coming out the back, fit it dead as it can be. The Fitbit logo shows up when I plug it in and nothing else shows up. I do the 3 presses on the button and it will vibrate and the logo shows and nothing else. I left it charging for about an hour and then I got a white X inside a red circle on the screen.

I have cleaned the sensors and the charger prongs as instructed and that did nothing either.

I've used Fitbit since flex 2 was new and this is making me so sad. I've never had this problem before.

I have exactly the same problem as F150Girl... started 2 days ago right after I got out of the swimming pool. I could not turn the swimming mode off. As she said, green still works and it still vibrates - and it sometimes shows the Fitbit logo when I connect it to the charger. I there anyway to restart the charge 5 w/o seeing the light

I have the same issue. It vibrates when charging starts and after pressing the buttons but screen stays blank. So frustrating.

I am having the same issue. Tried resetting several times with no success.

What is really sad is that my current tracker is a replacement that was sent to me only two months ago after a battery replacement.

The support team have assisted with my issue and after many tries, including the above and trying to change the clock face, and having to share a video of my attempts, she agreed my fitbit was dead. Very sad, but on the upside, I was still under warranty by 12 days (assuming it is 1 year). I was offered a replacement which I have taken or 50% off a new fitbit of my choice.

I can't try changing my clock face because the app can't locate my charge 5 and mine is no longer under warranty. My insurance company sent me an inspire 2 a couple months ago and I put it in a drawer in case something happened to my charge so I guess I'm getting it out and using it instead. Thanks for letting us know!
