Fitbit face not working. Now not holding a charge either

Recently my face of my Fitbit(Charge 5) stopped working. I could still sync it and use it via the app to track steps, etc. but could not get the face to come on. Now it is only holding a charge (from 100% to 5%) in 6 hours. Help please

Thank you for sharing that you've having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 device.

 

Please try these additional steps that have been useful for other users with similar issues:  

 

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure using the charging cable. 
  2. Sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  3. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if a firmware banner appears. 
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display. 

Regarding the issue with the battery draining too fast, the restart should be of help as well, but you can also follow the steps provided in this article. to improve battery life in general.
