Fitbit quality has gone far downhill

I have been a loyal Fitbit customer for 10 years now. I started noticing that the life expectancy of their devices started falling considerably right around the time Google purchased the company. I used to get 2-3 years out of each device, however the last 3-4 devices only last about 18 months on average with my Charge 5 only lasting about 13/14 months. And since they only warranty their products for 12 months that tells me that they do not have confidence in their own quality either. Has anyone ever felt like they program the life expectancy into their software? Is a 18 month life expectancy what customers should expect? I think I have had my fill of getting swindled by this poor quality company. Finding a customer service contact number takes detective work almost like they do not want customers to contact them. When you do get a hold of someone they are not able to really answer any questions at all. Google has ruined this company!
