My Charge 5 worked fine until Saturday when a Fitbit update "Bricked" my device. Multiple contacts with customer support and because I am less than one month out of warranty they can't help me, they say. They offer a token 35% discount on a 149.99 price, which is now 119.99. So, they want to offer me a lame discount to buy a new device that their update broke. Nice business model. I have been a loyal Fitbit customer since 2014. All I can say is good bye Fitbit you have gotten that last of my hard earned money.

I'm in the same boat and very unhappy with Fitbit. This is the second device that has broken in just over 2 years. Somehow their stuff breaks just as their warranty is up. The fact that they broke it themselves and are not taking accountability makes it so much worse. I'm done with Fitbit!

I am done with Fitbit since they broke my charge 5 with their latest update one month after warranty expired.
What brand have you had a better experience with?

Good bye Fitbit. Just bought a much cheaper Xiaomi Mi Band 7. I can buy 3 for the price of a Charge 5 so even if I have to replace it as often as the Charge 5, I will be ahead of the game.
I still can't believe what Fitbit has done and they don't seem to care. Can't figure out what business model knowingly destroys their brand like this. I am sure their are smarter MBAs than me that know what they are doing...
