It's been less than a year that I got my Fitbit Charge 5...first it went black but would track. Then battery  would drain quickly and the touch screen wouldn't work. Now it's dead, wont charge or respond. I can't sync it to my app or anything. Tried to update software and it wouldn't let me either.... Restart DID NOT work. Now I'm reading customer  service  isn't even replying to customers.

Mine did the same thing yesterday and it will not do anything now. I ran and it worked fine and all of a sudden it went blank. I am beyond ticked about it!!

I spoke with customer service and they are replacing mine because it was still under warranty.

How did you talk to them.

My first charge 5 did this and they only gave me a 50% discount on a replacement.  Just a few months later, the replacement is doing the same thing.

My charge 4 broke at the wrist strap and I got nothing.  I wouldn’t recommend Fitbit based on my experiences.

How did you manage to talk to support? My charge 5 just went black screen and stopped charging. It did restart a couple of times, I could see it when syncing it up but now it is gone. Less than 1 year old

How did you get a replacement from them? Mine has been horrible since I upgraded to the latest firmware. I called customer service last week after getting the "post a credit card" loop and having 90+ percentage battery only to have the battery drained within minutes after checking. My battery keeps draining to the point of having to leave it on the charger for hours or overnight. Customer service told me to wait out their firmware fix - no replacement or refund unless it was within 45 days of purchase. My fitbit is 5 months old!!
