If I fully charge my Charge 5 the battery is empty in 30 minutes ?!!
According to support this is due to a Firmware issue, which means others must have the same issue.
Does anyone have the same issue?
Or is Fitbit just not willing to replace my Defect Charge 5 within the warranty period?

A main factor with Charge 5’s battery life being low really fast is if you use the always on feature, you use GPS regularly, and the amount you use the Watch are main factors in why the Fitbit battery life is draining fast.
Hope this helps.

Just got off the phone with support... apparently all the charge 5s are having issues with holding a charge... mine only holds for 24-48 hrs and it's very frustrating when I dont even activate my GPS or other exercise options. Willing to wait and see if anything works to correct this issue. Good luck!

The restart helps and keeping screen on dim. The dim screen is very easy to see. Gps depleted battery on ch 4 also so keep it off if not using.
someone else said let the battery run till u get a low battery notification. I am waiting for this as my charge is holding good. Dont keep trying to give the battery a boost by charging when over 30%. This makes sense for other devices too. Will post an update on status.

Ripoff. Mine is dead in 30 minutes. They refuse to honor warranty. Said you have to keep checking for updates

I would be very happy with 24-48 hours, mine after all resets and stuff is still 30 minutes or less

Update. I am at 85% after charging to 99 % yesterday. Part of yesterday had screen on auto and when not exercising put it on manual screen.
This looks like I may get 5 days out of charge w gps off n screen on dim. All other functions are on.
the restart was a key factor.
i fear if after all troubleshooting if u are not keeping a charge it is a defective ch 5 or the update u received. I am disappointed to hear that customer support is not honoring a warranty. They honored it for my ch 4 once.
good luck

@ErikLM if this was really a firmware issue, everyone would have the same problem AND Fitbit should stop selling the Charge 5 until they resolve the problem. You also didn't say if this is a new device, or if you've had it a while and the battery just started draining. If you've had a while with the same firmware, it's hard to see how the firmware could be responsible.
Mine usually lasts 3-4 days between charges. I turn the GPS on when I go running, which is usually for 70-80 minutes. A charge is good for about three running sessions.
------
@Teens the Charge 5s are not all having such an extreme problem. It appears just certain ones.

It is a 6 month old device, it worked perfectly, 5 to 7 days of battery live. Until 1 week ago, it went back to 8 hours or so, now it is at 30 minutes. I did not install any updates, unless they where installed automatically. But I cannot find any logging of that.
They promised to have a look at a new one yesterday, he had to ask his manager ... But I did not get any feedback yet
To be continued
