My Charge 5, when using only my phones GPS, cuts out after roughly half an hour on any walk. This happens every single time. The ongoing exercise continues but the GPS is no longer tracked. When checking the exercise page after the session has been completed and the fitbit has been synced, it shows the first couple of minutes of GPS data, despite it running far longer than that, but also shows the complete session data for everything else.
I've tried restarting the Fitbit, reinstalling the app, and checked phone permissions but nothing has worked.
At first I thought it was just a GPS deadzone but this happens wherever I go.
I would change to the Fitbit GPS however I have found that even more unreliable.

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the trouble you've been experiencing with your Charge 5, @Topperanium.
If the GPS is getting disconnected during your activity, the Charge 5 may track different information for the the distance. There are a few general recommendations for cases where GPS is not working properly. Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article.
Keep in mind that all devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a restart using the charging cable, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.

Mine started losing GPS consistently about a half an hour into my walks. This started in early May. Previously it would only happen occasionally. I do think something has changed on Fitbit's side and it should be addressed.
