Glucose "within range"

Hello,

Why does Fitbit describe a blood glucose level of 160 as "within range"?

As far as I knew/know, a 160 is too high.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you, Scott

I haven't logged my glucose lately to remember what the message looks like, and whether it is going by recommendations or your own historic range.  Agree too high for fasting reading but perhaps not for after meal.  From CDC website:

"A blood sugar target is the range you try to reach as much as possible. These are typical targets:

  • Before a meal: 80 to 130 mg/dL.
  • Two hours after the start of a meal: Less than 180 mg/dL."

Though of course, can vary for individual cases.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
