I was happy paying with Fitbit Pay with my Charge 4 and now with my Charge 5. I've made numerous payments and have never had any problems. But now, when I've switched to Wallet within Fitbit, all my payments are declined. The strange thing is that I can pay perfectly with my mobile phone and the same card with Gooble Wallet but it rejects when I try it with Charge 5. I've opened a case to Fitbit but they always say the same thing, "remove the card", "add the card", "update firmware"
The main reason why I bought this bracelet was to be able to pay with it without using my mobile phone. Being able to go to the beach and play sports without having to carry your mobile phone. Now I feel frustrated because they don't give me a solution.

Yes I have the same issues after moving from fitbit pay to google pay. 😞

I figured out one more thing. I have multiple cards loaded in my watch wallet, but only one, the default one, shows up in my watch. Before the change, I could scroll through the cards in the watch.... Oh yeah.

Are you trying to fix the problem? We have lost a functionality and we have been weeks without hope or news. Do we really have to give that up? Are you really not going to do anything? Why don't you go back to a previous update and put Fitbit Pay back in? Honestly, I don't understand how Fitbit is ignoring customers who admit to having been loyal to the brand for years.

I have the same problem. It has not worked since I changed to Google Pay. It was also much more inconvenient, as I had to phone my bank to get them to accept Fitbit for my card. Since then I have tried it several times. It's embarrassing for me to try my watch in a shop and then be declined.

First time I called helpdesk the told me to remove fitbit app and cards,and re install and add cards. This dis not help at all. I have contacted them again, by chat, and they confirmed they have an issue. The promised to notify when solved. That was a couple of days ago. I don't have high hopes.....

I too gave up. Moved to another brand. Lack of response or even promises of fixes convinced me. Shame, after a dozen years with a Fitbit. My first reply seems to be missing, so sorry if this is a duplicate for some.

I have the same issue. Fitbit Sense. Google wallet. All transactions immediately declined. I see google said iOS had an issue and it's resolved, but I'm on android pixel 8 and it's not resolved.

Same problem here, in the European Union, with a Charge 5.
All payments made with Openbank debit cards are declined using the watch, not using the phone.
The cards are correctly added to Google Wallet and they are depicted in the watch.
I am ONLY able to pay with the watch using a VISA CREDIT (not debit) card. All my debit Mastercard cards are refused.

Hi All, I have also been experiencing this issue soon after I moved my fitbit account over to Google ( in good faith ) and was forced to start using google wallet on my charge 5, my main payment cards stopped working, I was using a WISE card fine on fitbit pay now the same card does not work on Google wallet on my watch, it seems to work fine on my phone just not the watch. I have tried adding my Sainsburys Mastercard ( Credit Card ) and that does work but my WISE ( Prepaid ) VISA card does not work. This is very frustrating , moving to Google has just created issue's and no benefit's.

Any update? It has been months now and running out of patience. The only reason for me not to abondon fitbit completely is that it would be a waste to throw away an otherwise functional device. But in the end the wireless pay option was a major reason (next to the reducing batterylife of the charge 3) for upgrading, so if no response I will move on to a different & hopefully more reliable brand

I was unable to add the cards to Google Wallet through the Fitbit app. The cards worked fine in Google Wallet on my phone.
The problem was not receiving the confirmation SMS.
After a few months and for no apparent reason, I was able to link my cards in Google Wallet on Fitbit.
But once the cards were linked, I could not pay with them, because the payments were declined without any further information, while the cards worked fine in Google Wallet on my phone.
Since 3 days ago, suddenly, either my Visa or Mastercard, credit or debit cards, started working fine on my Charge 5.

That's a good question.
I have changed absolutely nothing for it to start working.
It did not work in Europe or Argentina.
Later, about a month ago, I was able to start paying only with a Visa credit card.
Since 3 days ago I can pay with another Mastercard debit card with which the payments were declined without any further information.

Same here, I tried again at the weekend after being hopeful something had been fixed. No luck for me either, UK mastercard credit card that worked then perfectly with google pay on phone of course.

Today I managed to pay via two VISA cards (revolut and one local bank).
It started working by itself without updating the firmware. The only thing I changed is the order of the cards in the wallet...
