Heart rate inaccurate. Different zone minute to heart rate shown Charge 5

I have recently bought a new fit bit and upgraded to the tracker 5. I have only worn it for two days and already the heart monitor seems to be glitching in its recording. 

Today I swam in the pool for 40 minutes. It was recorded as 60 zone minutes. Most of which looks to be in the orange zone which corresponds to hard the work out was. However when I went to monitor exactly how my heart rate was during the activity it did not even show above 100 which I know is not accurate. 

I specifically bought this to monitor my heart rate in detail as I currently on heart medication to lower it and I want to see how it is responding. 

I have restarted my fit bit, turned on and off my phone etc and no good.
