Why does my Charge 5 show a lower heart rate vs. My trainer checking it with my pulse? There can be a 25 bpm difference. I have moved it up my wrist, chsnged arms (left arm to right arm) wore it tighter and also looser as well.

Hi, welcome back to the Fitbit Community forums, @samehere.
Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.
What you can do is follow a few steps that have been useful for other users to improve the accuracy as much as possible. Please complete a three pulse restart, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

I am having the same problem. On my second Charge 5 now with the same problem. I'd love to try this - but - there is no button on the flat end of the charge cable.

@HE2K There's a small inset button on the USB end of the charging cable that came with your Charge 5. That's what you use to restart your device. The other option is to go to the Settings menu on your Charge 5, scroll down, and tap on Restart Device.

That helps, thanks. The moderator wanted us to use the one on the charge cable, but "charge cable" doesn't tell me which end.

@HE2K Thanks for sharing your inquiry and for the update.
You can find a reference image of the charging cable on the USB cable here below:
I'm sure this will be useful for other users as well.

Good news is I eventually did figure that out. Bad news is that neither that, nor any of the solutions, solved the issue. The only consistent thing about the Charge 5 heartbeat right now is that it reads low. Sometimes it is just 5 to 10 (average) - more often it is in the 15 to 25 range. Obviously this also affects zone minutes. BTW - I am comparing these to a both Mio wrist monitor, and a Polar 9 chest strap. Those two match very closely, but the Charge 5 is just not in the game.
