Hi
I have had my Charge 5 since release and have had several other Fitbit trackers in the past. About 3 days ago, after the battery for my charge 5 was fully depleted and then recharged, my heart rate numbers suddenly jumped to unrealistic levels. I would previously have resting heart rates of 60-80, but now my resting heart rate sits at 130 and will suddenly jump to 160 under the slightest activity. I have logged over a thousand active zone minutes in the last 2 days. I have tried restarting the device, disabling and re-enabling heart rate tracking, and factory resetting the device. Nothing has worked so far. When I track my heart rate manually, it almost seems like my heart rate reading is double my actual heart rate. Any advice on how to fix this?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Gorndt.
I appreciate all the information provided about this inconvenience with your Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps that you already tried.
Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting the device again using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.
