Horrible swimming tracking

Hi!

I bought Fitbit Charge 5 mostly for tracking swimming activities. But unlocking water lock makes it impossible to measure training. It takes me from 10 to 30 seconds to unlock it and press Finish. So if I want to measure how much time it takes me to make 100 m distance this device is useless. Very disappointing. Taking into account that this limitations were not communicated this by Fitbit. Should have bought Garmin. Guys don’t take it if you are serious about swimming, money wasting.

Hi Katy,

I did the same as you- mostly because my Fit 2 face was getting so scratched I couldn't see it in the sun.  I used it the past two days swimming and took me so long to stop the thing.  I even was able to take a shower and dry off before being able to unlock it.  SO frustrating. It does accurately measure the yards I swim, but when I am done I have to look at the time and then compute everything.  Does yours unlock while you are in the pool, or when it's wet?
