How do I bypass the EDA scan to get to the alarm?

Sometimes when I try to swipe through to get to the alarm I accidentally hit the eda scan and I don’t know how to cancel it and just keep swiping to the alarm. You can’t swipe left right or up and down, it seems like you have to do a scan to get out of it? I just want to cancel the scan and get to the alarm.

I haven't figured out how to cancel the EDA scan once it starts.

 

FYI - If you swipe right to left from the main screen, you get to Alarms on the 3rd swipe since the shortcut tiles are setup like a carousel. Going right to left, you swipe past Notifications & Exercise, which are easy to get out of if you accidently tap on the tile. The 3rd swipe gets you to Alarms.
