How do I set up my Charge 5 to my son's Fitbit account?

I would like to give my old Charge 5 to my 15 year old son.  However, the child's account in google will not allow me to set him up in the fitbit app.  How can I set up an account for him that will link to the Charge 5?  Is there a way to change the security in the google account to show him as an adult?  Or do I need to set up a fake account for him?

Your son should have received an email when he turned 13 that would allow him to set up his own Fitbit account.
