I am giving my Charge 5 to my 13yo. We signed him up and the app automatically puts him through the parental consent/tracking suite of questions and parameters. Fine. We go to "set up device" and the ONLY devices listed are the Ace watches designed for kids. How can I simply transfer my Charge 5 to my kid ??? (I already cleared all data from it from my usage.)

It sounds like your son is under a Family account since the only device that shows is the Ace.
The way that I understand it, your son will have to take over his own Fitbit account and not be under a Family account in order to be able to use the Charge 5.
