How long generally charge 5 lasts ?

Hi, I am a new member of this community, new to fitness and also charge 5 is my first health tracker, and i am seeing lot of negative posts regarding life of this device only lasting 1 year. Is it true ? Should I return this ? I'm using for only 2 days and I generally take good care of my gadgets. Have done all the battery optimisations, and i don't swim. Please suggest or shed some light, dear fitbit users who are using fitness trackers for many years.

Sorry to report, but mine is almost unusable and I bought it just over a year ago

I had a Charge 3 that died with 1 year of use, then I got a replacement that died too around 1 year of use. Now I'm an owner of a Charge 5, 1 year of use, and the battery started draining out of nowhere. So, there are chances of this being true... 🤷 I'm so upset

device has a warranty of 1 year so it will last 1 year and after that many users faced many issues

I bought it in cristmas of 2021 and today it's broken 

I updated it in the morning and after update it's screen is not working at all, before updating it was working like day 1 but I think as mine is out of warranty they purposefully damaged it with an update same thing happened with many customers 

After calling customer care they told my charge 5 is out of warranty so I have to buy a new one even if their update damaged the device 

Pathetic service
