How to turn off annoying Cardio/FatBurn Zone notifications mid-exercise?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just to be clear: I am NOT talking about AZM, Low/High Heart Rate alerts, or "reminders to move," I'm talking about that incredibly irritating "feature" where my watch vibrates and tells me "Fat Burn" or "Cardio" in the middle of an exercise (and then seemingly locks the screen so I can't dismiss it for ten seconds, just to add insult to injury).

This is a new problem since the latest update. I f##kin' hate it and want it to stop, but I can't find a single option in the watch settings or app to disable it.

Again (since I KNOW I'll get tech support asking this): I am NOT talking about the following:

- Reminders to move (disabled)

- AZM (disabled)

- High or low HR (disabled)

- Main daily goal reached (not disabled, but not what I'm talking about)

- App notifications/push notifications (not applicable)

Please help me not smash my watch with a hammer because HOLY BALLS I hate this and need it to stop ASAP.

Thank you in advance.

Yup.

Does it help to turn on "exercise focus" in Settings on your watch? It's under "quiet modes."

Edit: I have found this: from the watch screen swipe to the exercise screen. Choose an exercise and scroll down to "heart zone notifications" and toggle it off.

I have toggled the heart rate notifications to off, with no effect.

Did you turn on exercise focus?

@SunsetRunner I just checked and it's already disabled

At least I know it exists now. Thank you for that. 👍

Yup.

There is a place to turn these off within the exercise itself, at least for walking and running. My watch is charging so I can't check the others. After you select the exercise, if you scroll down, there is another screen where you turn those notifications and the GPS on or off. However, one time I turned them off and it didn't appear to collect the data about which zone I was in either - normally it shows my GPS route in the different colours for different zones. Since I find that useful, I leave it on now.

exercise focus is off, as well as heart rate notifications for each exercise.

I have this set to "on" and heart rate notifications to "off" for each exercise and yet the unit keeps buzzing on wrist for every milestone it thinks should be celebrated.  Very annoying.

I set the "active zone minutes" to 1000.  Have never got that high in a day😉
