I cannot find the ECG app on my Fitbit app or my Fitbit

Hi,

can someone help me please?  I have just purchased a brand new charge 5 from Fitbit UK.

I have synced it with my Fitbit app on my iPhone and I have installed the firmware update.

I cannot find the ECG app anywhere so I cannot use it.

I have wasted over an hour with product support who don’t know why it’s not there.

there is no screen or tab for health assessment and reports under discover, and there is no apps button under the charge 5 device page.

can anyone shed any light on this, and what I should do next?

cheers

Hello @Bellefield1878

I'm not sure I can help much, but I can bring your problem further up the page where it might be noticed and someone might be able to jump in.

Firstly, regarding the Apps button on the Charge 5 device page on your phone.  When you're on the Charge 5 page, if you tap on Gallery, that should show you current clock and at the top off the page there should be a tab for Clocks and one for Apps.  If the App one is there, you can tap on it to see which ones are installed on your phone.  If you have the ECG one, it should show there.  If it's there but not installed, you can tap on it to install.

I've never used Discover, but had a quick look.  If you scroll up past all the pictures, there's a list of different types of things in words with small icons for each.

The ones listed on mine are:

Challenges and Adventures

Clocks and Apps Gallery - you can also use this button to check which Apps are on your phone

Workouts

Mindfulness

Health and Fitness Stats

Guided Programs

When I tap on Health and Fitness Stats, the is a green tile for Wellness Reports (which I think is what you're looking for).  I can't get it because I don't have Premium.  I also can't get the ECG App because my country is not supported, but the UK is.

I hope that helps a bit.

Hello @Bellefield1878   Fitbit released the Charge 5 without the ECG feature and it was released in a firmware update.  Fitbit did the same thing with the Sense.  Fitbit is constantly releasing firmware updates to users who need them.  You got in line for yours when you activated your Charge 5.  Be patient.  Firmware updates usually show up 24-48 hours after activation.
