So my history with Fitbit goes back some years, it was in 2019 a Fitbit charge 2 was given to me by my missus. I don’t know why I updated but guessing I wanted a newer one. Then it was the Charge 3, now looking back on it I have to say it was one of the best Charge devices, fairly had any problems and the construction was good. I think I stayed with it for a year or two. Then came the Charge 4, construction wise this have to be the worst. I think I returned devices at least two times. Last time I was given a promo code or something, so I bought the Charge 5 and this was in January 23 according to Fitbit. And here we are.
Since then I have returned two devices, honestly seems like a device can only last for a year before going down somehow. Now with my current device the battery has since some months starting to drain fast, like 43 % in 24h. It wasn’t like this before. Common problems it seems so I tried all the DIY and still no luck.
I contacted the support today since I must return the device. Now they told me my warranty time is up, since I only have two years from the first bought device about 2 years ago (warranty was up on the 15/1). Apparently, warranty is not covered on new replacement devices. It gives them 2 years to f-ck you over and over. Instead, I was offered a 35 % discount if buying a new device. The last replacement was made during late summer, so I haven’t had it for more than 6 months even.
I’ve had it with their crap products, their warranty praxis is a joke. I am not going to buy a new device, with my track record it will probably have to be replaced with in year anyway. I will never touch a Fitbit device again and I don’t recommend anyone to do it either. Poor products, poor support and a warranty policy similar to theft. So many other better products out there.

I agree with you, I am in my third charge 5 in less, than two years, luckily all have been under warranty. If and when this one craps out like the others, it will be my last fitbit device.
