Inaccurate or no Heart Rate displayed on some workout shortcuts

The “Always ON Display” for the Charge 5 that is set inside the exercise shortcuts seems to work fine in the “Walk”, “Run” or “Hike” shortcuts. But it doesn’t in the “Workout”, “Bootcamp” and other shortcuts. In those shortcuts, the always ON heart rate displayed is rarely correct. It’s mostly dashes - - or some crazy number. When I look at the workout data later, the heart rate appears to be correct… It’s just not displayed correctly in those shortcuts on the Fitbit.

I have tried restarting the device, removing and re-adding shortcuts, and tinkering with different shortcut settings, I’ve even cleared the user data, removed it from my account and re-adding it. I cannot get it to work.

I would love this feature, if it worked, because I only want “Always ON” during a workout and I must be able to QUICKLY glance and see my current heart rate. For example, when I run with my dogs, I have a leash in each hand and one dog will undercut my legs whenever he sees a lizard etc… I can’t be twisting or tapping my wrist and staring at my Fitbit. I need to keep my eyes on the terrain and some months, I also need to scan for Rattlesnakes on the trail. I almost stepped on the one below:

Watch out, Rattlesnake!Watch out, Rattlesnake!
