I felt daring yesterday and updated the replacement pebble which had 1.142.37 installed when I received it. It's now running with 1.171.50 installed. I charged the battery to 100% and 10 hours later it's down to 93%. Right now, I will consider it a successful update. My previous pebble didn't make it through the night without draining the battery. It looks like this one will. I'm not recommending that everyone update their replacement devices, I'm just reporting my experience.

Same here, I had the same problem as everyone her. I sent my pebble for replacement - after a month it arrived back with the 1.142.37 firmware installed. I have used the tracker for 2 days in order to check how was performing. Today morning I performed the update to 1.171.50 and after 3 hours the battery went from 76% to 73% - In view of the previous behavior were my tracker would lost all the battery (from 100% to 0%) in just 2 hours, I would call this a successfull scenario.
I honestly think that the initial HW, the one around the beginning of the year, is no way the same one as the replaced pebble. Meaning the SW is the same and the HW was the one that changed. So, if you are facing this problem, work your way on a replacement if you are under warranty. Now if you are not under warranty....well, this sucks and you are stuck with a bricked pebble 😞

@SunsetRunner what do you mean by HW and SW?

I mean HW = hardware (the replaced pebble) vs the SW = software (the same 1.171 firmware)

@SteveCDN Yes, they instruct you to remove the band and only return the pebble. I've read some people return the band, and then have no way to wear the new pebble. I don't believe any data is stored on the pebble that isn't stored on the app.
Also, update after 24 hours - battery is at 88%. The firmware update to 1.171.50 on the replacement pebble is successful.

Any update on the new clock faces not showing up? I am not going to go through 46 pages to find the answer.

@Joefit1283 I believe there is one new clock face, called Bloom, which has barely any data on it. Most people have been underwhelmed.

It sounds like a few of us have been successful updating our new pebble to 1.171.
UPDATE II: I updated on the 10th. Battery was at 83% once the update was complete. Today, battery is at 46% Four days and less than 40% battery usage. I hold my breath that this continues after I recharge the battery in a few days.

I too am on the new SW still, new pebble and all is good. Been about a week and battery lasted, sync is good and fingers crossed it continues. Good luck everyone and hope it all gets resolved.

Hello all,
I had a request this morning to update my Fitbit Charge 5 with the new firmware update.
Now I have the version 57.20001.171.50
However, I have only now the problem that the charge level in percent formally sinks while watching.
Despite freshly loaded Fitbit .
Have the Fitbit restarted and also already reset and reconnected, which currently brings no improvement. Does anyone have similar problems?
With best regards
Bessron

@SunsetRunner have a read back through this thread. Unfortunately, you will see that your experience is common. Contact Fitbit support about it.

Yes, I have already taken that step.
What a pity that is
I was promised that I would receive an email today with a solution or a way to do what now....
2 months and then that...
