My Charge 5 is variable in recording sleep. It sits on my wrist as it should. After discussing the issue with Customer Services, they advised me to reset the heartbeat monitor.

I'm guessing they said to restart rather than reset, but in either case, no it is not necessary every day, and even once is more of a general "here's something you could try", rather than a specific known fix.

I see. Sorry. I wasn't sure what you meant by "reset". In that case, maybe ignore most of my answer, but if that did help, I would still think it shouldn't need to be a daily thing.
