Does anyone know if it’s save to use a Fitbit Charge 5 if you have a pacemaker fitted?

Hello @Selina18
I don’t personally know, but if you read this thread, the consensus seems to be that you should consult your healthcare provider. This thread is for the Sense but is very similar.
I hope that helps a bit.

I’ve had a pacemaker & Charge 5 for almost 2 yrs. My pacemaker is set to 60 beats per minute, but Fitbit has recorded mid upper 40s and low 50s. My cardiologist tells me I have an early Extra beat and we confirmed that the Fitbit does not count it so Fitbit shows reading lower at times than my pacemaker actually is operating.

@Selina18 Fitbit's safety information only lists the Aria/Aria2 body fat scales as devices that users with pacemakers (or other implanted devices) should not. But the Charge 5 charger has magnets in it. I gave my Charge 5 to my son in law, so I don't know if there are magnets on the Charge 5 side of the charging port. Most pacemakers have distance limits for magnets. Please point this out to you doctors. Once I saw a winter parka with a pacemaker warning because there were magnets in the zipper.

The only part of the Charge 5 that might be of concern is the ECG and this function is under the users control.
