I see that I'm not the only one experiencing the random shut down of the Charge 5.
But the official answers I'm seeing are not "We're working on a firmware fix to correct the problem".
Instead the answers are 1) an ineffectual suggestion to connect to the charger and do a reset or 2) buy a new Fitbit product with 35% off.
Does this mean that Fitbit has moved on from supporting the Charge 5?
Does this mean that it's time to move on from Fitbit?

I think Fitbit has moved on from supporting the entire customer base. I don't think it is just Charge 5. Their only hope is customers who never knew when Fitbit had a good product that was usable.

My charge 5 has become unresponsive after multiple notifications asking me to add a card to my wallet. Reset protocols ineffective, it seems built in obsolescence at under 1year old

It's absolutely time to move on. Their firmware update has been bricking Charge 5s since July and they do nothing except stonewall and offer a trivial discount on purchase of a new Fitbit product. Why would anyone spend more of their hard earned money with a company who won't fix their mistakes? There are many other companies that sell fitness bands to choose from.

I think it’s time to find a different brand that is reliable and we don’t have to replace it every year or so. I’m so frustrated with Fitbit. Mine randomly started displaying the Fitbit logo and it was locked up. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting, chatted with an agent and called. Basically I was told I needed a new Fitbit. Mine was 14 months old.
