Charge 5 has stopped working and has been a disappointment from previous Charge 4. I was given a discount but see that the Charge 5 is very limited to color as well as availability. If a new Charge 6 is coming out, I may consider but I'm on the fence. I need a small watch face. Recommendations or insight ??

Hello & welcome @Starvit
So far there hasn't been an announcement for the Charge 6. Several of the tech sites that I follow have mentioned that that they think it's very likely that there will be new Fitbits, including the Charge 6, announced at the Oct 4 Made by Google event. Considering the event is just a few weeks away, it might be worth waiting to see if the Charge 6 is announced then.

Hi -- I am in the same boat. Bought a Charge 5 July of 2022 and within a week after it hit being a year old started giving me a constant "Add card" error and now the battery doesn't even last 24 hours and I have to charge it morning and night. Really hoping a charge 6 is released soon because I don't want to pay another $150 for a device I don't trust. Trying to limp it along hoping something is announced soon -- seems promising. Fingers crossed. Good luck to us!!!

As a Charge 4 user, I'm waiting for the Charge 6 to upgrade. The Charge 5 shipped in Aug 2021, we need a new tracker. I'm not getting a smart watch! I have too many fine watches to show off, I just want a tracker with a battery that last 2 - 3 weeks like my Charge 4.

This isn't an official Fitbit announcement, just a new article in 9to5google.

@LZeeW I read the article you referred to. It seems the major changes to the Charge 6 would be YouTube music, Google maps and a physical button on the tracker. I'm sure it would be an extra expense for the YouTube music without ads or something and I certainly wouldn't be using it for navigation. I don't think I'd spend the money on the Charge 6 just to have those changes, as it seems it would be heading in the way of a smart watch which I don't want. Instead of that I would like to see Google get a grip on the issues that plague the Charge 5. If it was found the Charge 6 had better battery life, tracked sleep better, lasted more than a year and didn't have all of the other issues going on I might consider it then. It seems Google may have a hard sell for people to buy the Charge 6, as it seems many people are moving away from Fitbit/Google. It will be interesting to see how much the Charge 6 will be selling for.
