Is there a way to enable ECG app in non supported countries?

I’m in Hungary and today I updated my Charge 5, but the ECG app is not appeared what I expected as Hungary is not on the list of supported countries. However, I thought if I change the location to UK for example then I can install it, but unfortunately that is not the case.

I’m just wondering if there is any way to enable a feature what I actually payed for when I’m not in one of the supported countries?

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback about the Charge 5, @ReadOnly. 

As you mentioned earlier, the ECG feature is not available in Hungary for the moment. Unfortunately it would not be possible to receive the feature by changing the location on the Fitbit app; keep in mind that depending on the country of origin, this feature often requires the approval of certain agencies and institutions before they can be activated for use, so that's why this requirement can't be bypassed by changing the location. 

I recommend that you review this list periodically to check if your country has been added. In the meantime, you can also vote for this idea posted in the forums: Make ECG available in all EU countries. This section is monitored regularly by the team of developers. You can also post a separate idea to add ECG feature in Hungary.

my ECG APP is  in Charge 5  ,but I don't use ECG in iphone fitbit app

my APP location is in hongkong ,but I now in china. Does this matter ？？？

@andyrun Thank you for your reply. 

The ECG feature is restricted by location, so you may not be able to use it if you're permanently located in mainland China, as this feature hasn't been authorized there. In this case, you would only be able to use it if you're located in Hong Kong.
