Like many people on this forum, I noticed that after 14 to 15 months, my Charge 5 battery drains very quickly, lasting between 24 to 48 hours max.
I already had one Charge 5 replace but some symptoms after a little bit more than a year.
What I noticed this time is the battery indicator seems odd. Typically I am at 50% charge and suddently the fitbit stops like being empty. WHen I charge it, after a few minutes it indicates 60 to 70%.
I also noticed that starting the heart rate mesurement puts the fitbit into a reboot loop...
So I'm thinking this is more an issue of the "software" not understanding the battery state correctly. Is there a way to recalibrate the battery like it is for some smartphones or laptops after a while?

Hello @Phil.Maly
When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.
Another unconventional troubleshooting that a user tried was exposing their Charge 5 to freezer temps when their device was stuck on the Fitbit logo. If you want to try this, here's a link to the thread (<-- click link). Again, there's no guarantee that this will work, but it's an option to try.

Thanks Rieko, will try that over a couple of days to see if it solves my issue.
Will keep you posted
