Did you mean:

Just avoid - useless bands make an already subpar product pointless.

There's no place to leave reviews of any fitbit products you've purchased (great customer experience 🙄), so I"m leaving my review of the Charge 5 here instead. Just avoid it. I had the charge 3 and it was great, until the day it just randomly stopped working. I finally replaced it with the charge 5 and it's been subpar since day one, but the worst part is the watch bands. The one it comes with is a horrible silicone that doesn't breath at all and gave me a rash. I bought the hook and loop band to replace it, and it feels better but the velcro straight up doesn't work. It falls off at the slightest bump. It won't say secure while I"m sleeping, so I don't get good data. So I went the third party route and ordered a band from amazon (I did this for my charge 3 too with no issues), and the connectors don't hold. So now I have an ok tracker, that is almost useless because I don't have a functioning way to actually wear it. I'm still using the velcro band and just crossing my fingers it doesn't fall off into the toilet each day.

Support policies are unhelpful - they'll replace my band with a new one after I send it back, so now I"ll be without anything for who knows how long. They really can't just send me a new $30 band? So dumb. At this point I'd prefer to just return the device, but I"m outside the 45 day window. I'm just so annoyed with the whole thing, I think I"m just going to give this one away and buy an apple watch instead.

Anyways, long rant to say, I think this is my 5th fitbit device and it will be my last.

I agree!  My charge 3 was great!  One day, display was very faint even with me changing the display settings.  No need to worry I'll buy the new upgraded charge 5!  This thing sucks!  I purchased two, and one of them cannot hold a charge!  Every morning I have to plug it in and by 4 pm, it's needing a new charge.  I call up support and they tell me to wait on the new firmware!   Why is only one of them having an issue?  I have purchased a total of 6 of these from fitbit.  This will also be my last fitbit device.
