Just bought a charge 5, should I use it?

I just bought a charge 5 and only then did I find this forum.

Should I leave it not turned on until a new firmware is released?

Or is it safe for me to turn it on and not have my new 5 brick or battery drain?

Any advice will be appreciated

I got mine on July 16th and didn't have any issues.

@Tpol89 If you just got it you should be covered for a year warranty so go for it.

I would return it and get a different device. Customer service has been terrible with this issue, including for those of us still under warranty.
