Just got the Charge 5, and it already says I burnt 1635 calories, even though I just put it on

So I just got the Charge 5, and upon setting it up it immediately says I’ve burned 1635 calories… I’m assuming the fire icon shows calories burnt! What’s up with that? Help appreciated 🙂

@DavidVDM56 that could be accurate,  depending on where in the world you are and what time of day it is. Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (the calories you burn just to stay alive) and your activity data to estimate your total calories burned.

So, 1635 calories could be the estimate of your basal metabolic rate so far today. It should reset to 0 at midnight and then be a smaller number (maybe several hundred) when you wake up in the morning.
