Just bought the Charge 5, my first Fitbit. Have an iWatch but I was stoked to get a band so I could wear regular watches again. Anyway, this thing will not stay on my wrist! I just worked out and it popped off 5 times during my workout. In addition it popped off a few times when I was doing yard work today. This is super disappointing. Anyone have any ideas on what’s going on? I have a big wrist and have the large strap attached.
thanks in advance

Is the end of the band disconnecting from the body of the Charge 5? I noticed you have to listen for a click and test the connection with a good tug to make sure the band end is connected properly to the tracker body.

I use a Milanese Loop Stainless Steel Metal Bracelet Strap with Unique Magnet. For my Charge 2 and it doesn't fall off. You should see if there is one for the charge 5.

- I had the charge 2 for 5 years with no problems. I just upgraded to the charge 5, they changed the latching system and its awful, I was just playing with my daughter and it popped off twice within 1 minute. I've always used the metal magnetic bands because the standard ones are so ugly and can't be dressed up. I'm so disappointed.

I have the same issue. Ugh. I have tried several different aftermarket bands and they are even worse. They really need a redesign and if I lose this as a result, I will be requesting a new one.

Same for me and Fitbit just wanted to give me the run around on the help line. You can sure tell it is a Google helpline from India now. Fitbit used to be all about customer care.

Have had my Charge 5 since it came out - October?. Over the last 2+ months, it comes off frequently. It clicks in. I even pull it and it does not detach. But, then it rather randomly just disconnects and hangs inside my sleeve, at the bottom. Once or twice, it fell to the ground; fortunately, I notice it and was able to retrieve it. One time, it will surely drop off and I will just keep walking and - that will be that!! Any ideas?? Thanks!✌️

Exact same for me! Love the device, but do not dare wear it. I went back to my Versa 2 and may switch to Garmin.

Mine fell off two times in one hour today. This is ridiculous. There should be a factory recall. I'm going to be super mad if my new Charge 5 just randomly flies off my wrist one day and lands in a place where I can't retrieve it. I may try to reinforce with duct tape, but I'm not crazy about the look.I hope there is a legit fix, but it doesn't sound like it. Great. May have to fire up my old Inspire HR and just go back to that. Granted: It doesn't have a color screen. However, it did stay on my wrist perfectly for two years. Suddenly, that sounds like an upgrade.

Mine was doing that randomly even though I would test the straps after attaching them to the body. I found that if I put the straps on the opposite sides it worked better. It was weird for me to put on and take off because the buckle part was facing the wrong direction, but the Charge 5 didn't pop off more than a few times.
I have switched to an elastic band I found on Amazon (the notches on the silicone ones were either too big or too small for my wrist) and it hasn't popped off even when it gets caught in my pocket as I'm pulling my hand out.

I bought quite a few with different connecting bits (plastic and metallic) on Lazada, and the metallic bits seem to lock onto quite securely.
Worth a try !

ones that work best are the original, which are hideous, but they still pop
off.
Its just a bad design.

Original. I tried an aftermarket one and it is even worse. BTW, always pops off the bottom of the display side. The other side holds fine.

I saw some 3rd party straps where the Charge 5 slips into a pouch. I've been thinking about trying one, but the bands I have are staying secure. Maybe I'm not working out hard enough.

Mine pops off when I put my hand in my pocket. I am guessing that Fitbit isn't even reading these or they just don't care. Time to look at Whoop or Garmin.
