A light on back of Fitbit is always on. Went swimming and had the water lock on. Fitbit still went wonky. Able to dry out and all is working except now a light is always on. Yesterday was green. Recharged the Fitbit and now a red light is on. The light position is the third position if the Fitbit is facing me. Help and thanks 😊.

Welcome to the Community forums, @Xarolyn.
I appreciate the information provided about the green and red lights on the back of the Charge 5.
To determine your heart rate, the optical heart-rate sensor in your Fitbit device flashes its green LEDs many times per second. The device uses green LEDS because they maximize the signal detected from the capillaries near the surface of the skin. The optical heart-rate sensor also uses infrared light to determine when the device is on your wrist to improve the accuracy of your heart-rate data.
Besides the heart rate, a red light can also appear on the back of the device to track SpO2. The sensors shine red and infrared light onto your skin and blood vessels, and use the reflected light that bounces back to estimate how much oxygen is in your blood.
Let me know if you notice the device is not working properly or if it's not tracking your data.
I'll be around.

Thank you. I called customer service. Went through trouble shooting exercise and decide still not working properly. Under warranty so exercising that option.
Thanks.

@Xarolyn Thanks for sharing this update.
I'm sorry to see that it wasn't possible to resolve the problem, but it's good to know they're evaluating your warranty options.
See you around in the Community.
