22 days ago I lost my Fitbit charge 5. It also has not synced in 22 days per my Android Fitbit phone app. I am unable to sync it which means it is not near me. Yet my Fitbit phone app shows exercise activity for the last 2 weeks. How is it possible that the app is showing current exercise activity, and is my personal data at risk?

Hello @Rogeder
What activities are you seeing in your Fitbit app?
By any chance, did you set up your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app? This is an option to use your phone to track exercises, like walks & runs, when you're not wearing your Fitbit device. To check, tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page in Fitbit app. If your phone is connected as a tracking device, you should see it under Devices.

Hi @RiekoC I'm seeing steps and calorie and miles activity. Yes, my phone is connected as a device. But I don't think it is coming from my phone because there was a one-week Gap in activity from when I lost it to when somebody probably found it and the activity started.

Hi @Rogeder
Considering that the Charge 5 has to connect to the phone in order to sync with the Fitbit app, it's surprising to me that you're seeing data in the app. The steps, distance, & calories burned could be from having your phone as a connected device. Not sure why there was a week gap from when you lost your Charge 5 to seeing data in your app.
It might be worth contacting Support (<-- click link) to report your lost device. They might be able to disconnect it from your account. Complete the prompts until you get to the option to chat or call.
