Magnetic security key shuts down Fitbit?

I recently started working retail, and after 2 hours or so, my Fitbit display will change to the logo. It goes away when it is reset after several hours, but still means my watch isn't working or tracking my steps- both instrumental to feeling like my shift is going by. The only new factor I can identify is the Alpha magnetic security key I use to remove security devices. It's quite a magnet, but could it be strong enough to scramble my Charge? Are there steps I can take to prevent this?

Hi @Mark8899. Welcome to the Community Forums!

Thank you for the details regarding your Charge 5.

Effectively, using a magnetic device could affect the performance on your Fitbit as with any other electronic device. I'd suggest you to try having the Charge 5 a little farther from the magnetic key, if possible.

If you haven't done so, try restarting Charge 5.
