Mapping my swim

Hi there,

Ive only just bought a charge five and I want to be able to see a map of my swims afterwards. I've turned on gps (both dynamic and internal (I don't take my phone in the water). But it doesn't matter what I do - I get the data but no swim map. I'm at the end of my tether as I want to see a map of where Ive swum. I don't want to end up selling my charge 5 as I love it but the reason I bought it was for the GPS so I could see map of my swim post swim. Someone please help!

No Fitbit supports open water swimming.

I am certain it didn't because Fitbit never supported OWS (users have been asking for it for years and nothing). You must have been using different type of activity if you got GPS data. Swim was always designed for indoor pools only. There are ways of getting map by using any other activity (like Outdoor Workout) but it's not proper swim tracking and has some limitations (on some devices with touch screen there is no way to lock screen and water interacts randomly with the watch, not great).

@Theworldisyourz   The Swim shortcut is designed for pool/lap swimming.  I've never seen a GPS option on that shortcut and it isn't an option on my Sense 2.  I suspect you were using the Outdoor Workout shortcut as a workaround.  The Outdoor Workout shortcut has GPS and is designed for non-step based activities.  Do you think you were using Outdoor Workout?
