Measure kms

I’ve had a Fitbit now for over a year and it was recently replaced. The old one would give me readings for every step I took in relation to kilometres walked, so if I walked up and down my house, it would often show that I had walked 2 km then  would add to that any other walking I did this new one seem to not do the incidental km steps it’s very annoying because I like the idea of having a little bit of extra kilometres in my day. Does anyone know why this is happening?

@Loosing007 those distances are calculated in the Fitbit app, so there shouldn't be a difference if you switch to another device.

Have you checked that your stride length is set correctly in the app? That is something that would impact the km calculation. Tap your avatar in the upper right of the app and select "Fitbit Settings". Then "Activity & Wellness" and "Exercise". "Stride Length" is at the top of the next screen. Open that and see if that looks correct.
