Metal Plate fell off Charge 5 and "x" on screen

The metal plate on the back of my Charge 5 came off and my screen has an "x" in a red circle.

I've never had my fitbit on in the shower and I even wipe it when sweating while exercising. 

I know it's not under warranty anymore but it should last longer than this considering I take good care of it and don't get it wet.

Anyone had an issue like this resolved by fitbit when not under warranty? They offer no service by enail and you can only file a claim if under warranty so I don't know how else to get help.

Hi, @sorteg4 welcome to the community, you do not mention how long you have owned your Charge 5, the warranty period varies depending on your location, and who you bought it from and can be up to two years. Fitbit's return and warranty policy contains the details. If you are just outside the warranty period try talking to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response.

FYG I've been a daily swimmer with a Charge 5 and not experienced any problems.
