You need to add more sports. Isn't Charge 5 supposed to be a bit high-end? It only tracks 3-4 meaningful sports, which in 2022 is far below par and expectations. You are missing some 20-30 typical sports. When I do something outside of city-slicker style sports it gets all confused and think I'm swimming when I'm skiing etc.

See How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device? for list of 20 activities, plus " If your exercise isn’t included, choose Workout."
Just listing different sports doesn't really add anything except helping you remember what you were doing.
As far as thinking you are swimming when you are skiing, you are talking about auto-recognition. That can be easily avoided by using the Exercise App and telling it what you are doing. And Fitbit can't just add other things to auto-recognized activities. That requires being able to recognize what you are doing just by the motion pattern of your wrist - I would expect very difficult be get right for other than walking/running.

@JohnnyRow "Just listing different sports doesn't really add anything except helping you remember what you were doing." - sadly, that's true. Unlike other brands where different sports have often sport-specific metrics. Fitbit probably doesn't know it's 2022 🙂
