Today I went swimming with my Fitbit Charge 5(less than a meter in depth). I wasn't in the pool for long but my Fitbit just stopped working. The screen went black and it wouldn't charge. I put it in dry rice for couple of days and tried to restart it a few times, but nothing works. The screen is black and it doesn't vibrate. Charge 5 is advertised as a waterproof tracker so is there anything that can be done about it?

I had a similar thing happen after taking a shower. Several hard resets using the original charging cable and uninstall/reinstall from the Fitbit app fixed the problem.

I tried to do it, but it didn't work

I’m having the exact same issue(wrote a post about it) what worked for me in terms of at least getting some type of a response is letting it continuously charge for like three days which allowed me to manually reset it (it vibrated and screen finally turned, synced with my device on but it died again shortly later)
I am hoping that this is all just a hardware issue from Fitbit that is able to be solved by an update from them.

Did you "Today I went swimming with my Fitbit Charge 5(less than a meter in depth)." or "put it in dry rice for couple of days and tried to restart it a few times"?
I had to wait a few days after getting it wet for my Fitbit to dry out (no rice) before the resetting using the charger to work. You may need to give it more time.

Hi, I accidentally went in the shower with it. Please see my individual post for more details about the issue I’m having. It seems like this is a really common issue that’s been happening lately.
