First thing i really notice was the slimline of the Charge 5 compared to the Charge 4. First thing i miss was the back button but now iv had the Charge 5 over a week iv got use to only the touch screen but for the first few days it was a uneasy adjustment. Setting up new tracker was easy had no issues so that's all good. One thing i have notice is zone minutes does feel easier to achieve but this could just be down to the better sensors tracker higher heart rates. The screen is a much improved experience to look at would love to see some classic Charge range clocks to choose from. The big issue is when i go swimming you really do have to set up before your hands/screen get wet the touch screen can still work but it is very hit or miss if it response or not when wet the "always on timer" feature is great does take around 4% power for one hour but for me its worth it. Again it has tracked all my walks/swims with in the same margin of the old Charge 4. ECC told me i have a normal heart would of preferred a sexy heart but we can't have everything in life. I did not like the new strap design fastener but it has done its job even swimming it did not unclip. The connection to the tracker is a bit strange but has not unclip from Charge 5 so far even swimming. Using/upgrading to Charge 5 from Charge 4 has been a positive experience for me. The Big issue is the higher price point. Lucky i got my tracker in sales with the normal charge range price of £130 sadly this Charge 5 does come in far higher normal price of £170 which is sad but again you are getting a solid health tracker that will help you lose weight and most importantly keep the weight off.

Hi, thank you for sharing all your feedback and experience with the new Charge 5, @robworkingout.
It's good to know that you experience with the device has been positive and that you're enjoying all the features, including the AMOLED touchscreen, which is 50% brighter than the previous Charge 4. Many users have pointed out that it performs very well under the sunlight.
If you have some ideas that you think could be implemented to the Charge 5 to improve the user experience, I recommend that you post them separately in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.
Please consider voting for some of these ideas about clock faces as well:
Thank you again for taking the time to share all your feedback about the device.
Have a great day!

Have you had any issues with laps not being correctly counted? I’m using the inbuilt gps and have the length of the pool set correctly but it’s doubling the laps I’m doing. Got any suggestions?

If your in a swimming pool you could just disable GPS I never really have that on. Swimming in a river or something like that GPS maybe useful. Are you mixing swim techniques.? I only swim freestyle. My last swim numbers was 70 lengths of a 25 metre pool so 70x25 = 1750 meters the numbers are right on Fitbit app. I always aim to kick off wall on every length for at least 2-4 seconds streamline as possible This helps the Fitbit tracker work out one length. If your continuously swimming this could be why it’s getting confused. Hope this help you. 😃
